(jd) Officers from the Herford district police authority checked a Citroen coming from Herford city center in the direction of Löhne yesterday (7.4.) at around 3.50 pm. During the check, they discovered that a large number of drugstore items were in the vehicle. The 25-year-old driver and his 26-year-old passenger, neither of whom had a permanent residence in Germany, did not provide any information about where the goods had come from. In the course of the investigation, a blatant shortage of the goods found in the Citroen was noticed in a supermarket on Tribenstraße. After an inspection, razor blades and toothbrush heads worth around 1,200 euros were missing. An initial review of the video footage from the surveillance cameras supports the assumption that the stolen goods came from the store on Tribenstraße. Both individuals have already been reported to the police for similar offenses and were taken into custody in Herford.
